The Good Stuff

we're open for business!

I've never been one to capitalize on an independent venture. The joy of working, for me, has always stemmed from collaboration and connection with others. Engaging daily with colleagues provides a sense of community and shared purpose that is hard to replicate in solo endeavors.

That's the greatest challenge in entrepreneurship: while I relish in the autonomy and creativity it offers, I often find myself operating in a client-to-consultant framework. This can feel transactional and somewhat isolating at times. I miss the spontaneous conversations around the water cooler, those moments that allow us to bond over casual topics, share laughter, and build camaraderie.

“Sometimes, it’s worth reflecting on how many remarkable individuals you might never meet if you confine yourself to the same place and position throughout your adulthood. Embrace the world, forge connections, and relish the unparalleled beauty of being an entrepreneur.”  ~Lori Hopkins

I also long for the birthday celebrations that punctuate the workday, the collective acknowledgments of milestones and achievements, and the genuine curiosity about each other's lives outside of projects and deadlines.

In a traditional workplace, it's these small interactions and communal experiences that create a vibrant culture. They foster not only teamwork but friendship, allowing colleagues to support each other both personally and professionally. Without these elements, entrepreneurship can sometimes feel like an unending journey without the warmth of human connection, which is invaluable in both life and work. In pursuing an independent venture, I find myself reflecting more on the significance of relationships and the shared joys that come with working together with a team. After all, it’s not just about the work we accomplish, but the experiences we share that enrich our lives.
True fulfillment in work stems from discovering individuals with whom you resonate deeply and share core values. When this connection is established, you become empowered to face the world and pursue the joy that is your true calling. At Be Just Me Consulting, I have the privilege of building relationships with many talented individuals. Now, with the Ridgeline Sales Group, I am delighted to engage with even more people who are passionate about a common mission: supporting home sellers and buyers. This is the essence of finding your place in the world; the connections we make are not just interactions but blessings that enrich our lives and elevate our purpose. 💛
